Sharon Health Care Woods is designed to help younger residents (aged 21 to 64) with mental illnesses. Our focus is to rehabilitate each resident to his or her highest level of independence.
We offer in-house programs Monday through Friday to improve skills in areas such as socialization, emotional well-being, anger management, behavior management, ADL performance, community living and many others. Our activity department offers a busy and well-rounded schedules starting at 9am most mornings and on until 9pm most evenings. We also work closely with several outside agencies to facilitate a resident's re-integration into his or her most independent environment possible. These include Human Service Center, Community Workshop and Training Center, PARC, Goodwill, GROW, Centers for Independent Living, Joy Miller & Assoc., several area psychiatrists, and several area churches. |

Several of our residents attend day programming or employment training at other agencies such as Human Service Center, Community Workshop and Training Center, PARC and Goodwill. Community psychiatrists and counselors also offer assistance by treating our residents at greatly reduced Medicaid prices. Local religious groups also offer counseling, transportation to and from regular church services and weekly church services in our facility for those that can't get out.
